The Cecil College athletic department is proud to present the fourth edition of its Top 10 Moments series!
No. 1 - Softball Wins Region 20 Tournament
Cecil softball captured its first Region 20 championship since 2010, taking down the defending champion and No. 1 seed Potomac State on the Catamounts home field. Under the leadership of first year head coach Isabella Bungo, the Seahawks relied on a deep lineup and the arm of NJCAA All-American pitcher Taylor Stapleford to bring home the title.
No. 2 - Volleyball's Harris Breaks Career Kills Record
No. 3 - Stapleford Tosses 19 Strikeouts
Freshman right-handed pitcher Taylor Stapleford delivered several dazzling performances throughout the 2026 season. After nearly throwing a perfect game earlier in the year, Stapleford dealth 19 strikeouts in a 5-0 victory over Salem.
No. 4 - Volleyball Reaches Region 20 Semifinals
No. 5 - Baseball Scores 42 Runs
The Seahawks impressed in its 2026 home opener, pounding the Corning Red Barons 22-3 and 20-2 in mid-March. Cecil's 42 runs across the doubleheader are its most in modern program history.
No. 6 - Women's Basketball Clinches Postseason Position
No. 7 - Baseball's Woods Reaches 100 Hits
Sophomore outfielder Chris Woods became the first Seahawk since Pat O'Brien to reach 100 career hits while at Cecil. Woods collected 58 of them in 2026, finishing his career with 110 knocks.
No. 8 - Falko Beats Buzzer at Mercer County
No. 9 - Men's Soccer Claims Region 20 Tournament Spot
No. 10 - Softball Produces 41 Runs at Anne Arundel
Cecil secured its first sweep of its 2026 campaign, defeating Anne Arundel 21-0 and 20-4. Cecil's 41 runs were a season high and the most for the program since 2017.
