NORTH EAST - Cecil softball opened up its 2024 home slate with two games against the Salem Mighty Oaks, suffering defeat in both sides of the twinbill.
The doubleheader marks the Seahawks first home contest since April 29, 2018.
The Seahawks collected four hits in both contests. Jhaydin Ledford led the team with two hits in each game. The freshman outfielder also earned Cecil's only RBI of the day.
Emia Gatewood, April McDonald, and Iyana Jurry hit one double each. Jurry also picked up the first strikeout from the circle of her collegiate career.
