Isabella Bungo Named New Head Softball Coach

NORTH EAST - Cecil College Athletic Director Ed Durham has announced the hiring of Isabella Bungo as the head coach of the Seahawks softball program.

"I am incredibly thankful for the opportunity to lead the Cecil College softball program as the new head coach," said Bungo. "I am excited to get to work and build on the program's legacy."

Bungo comes to Cecil College after serving four seasons as the Edgewood High School varsity softball Head Coach. She mentored several players that went on to play college softball, including at her alma mater Thiel College. Bungo also coached the men's and women's volleyball teams at Edgewood.

A graduate of Thiel, Bungo competed for the Tomcats softball program. She served as a team captain and appeared in 14 contests, recording 13 strikeouts over 20 1/3 innings of work from the circle. Bungo was named a National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) scholar-athlete in 2016.
