LA PLATA, Md. - Cecil softball finished 1-1 with Southern Maryland on the road Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks are 4-2 (4-2 R20) after today's split.
Game One - CSM 4, Cecil 3
Taylor Stapleford (2-1) matched her season high of 12 strikeouts, but the Seahawks fell in the bottom of the seventh on a CSM grand slam with two outs.
Keira Wolfe led Cecil with two runs, a triple, and a double. Riley deRoulac produced two RBI, while Kyle Bergman chipped in one.
Game Two - Cecil 7, CSM 1
The Seahawks dominated game two, scoring seven runs on 11 hits.
Keira Wolfe, Riley deRoulac, and Keira Fendt collected two hits each. A half-dozen Seahawks secured an RBI, led by two from Malea Ferdinando.
Taja Souza (2-1) produced her best performance to date, allowing just one run on eight hits while striking out four.
