KEYSER, W.V. - Cecil women's volleyball saw its seven match win streak come to an end on Saturday afternoon, dropping both of a road tri-match against Potomac State and Hagerstown.
The Seahawks are now 11-6 overall and 8-6 against Region 20 foes.
Potomac State 3, Cecil 1
- Cecil nearly took the opening set, but Potomac won the last two points
- The Seahawks won set two, 25-21
- Down 24-18 in set three, Cecil scored five straight to pull within a point
- Potomac State would block their next attack to take the set, then cruise to a set four win
- Etta Harris led the Seahawks with 14 kills, while DeeDee Williams recorded a career high 12
- Hannah Beck picked up 39 assists, while Hadlee Hamm recorded 18 digs
Hagerstown 3, Cecil 0
- Cecil led set one 21-19, but Hagerstown scored six of the final seven points to steal it
- The Hawks grabbed sets two and three to earn a sweep
- Harris landed 19 kills, while Ryleigh Racine chipped in nine
- Beck (28 assists) and Hamm (12 digs) topped the Seahawks in their respective categories
