Harris Tabbed as Region 20 Player of the Month

NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil volleyball's Etta Harris has been named October's Region 20 Division 2 Player of the Month, as announced by region officials on Monday.

Harris recorded at least 10 kills in all nine matches for the Seahawks, who went 7-2 in October. She averaged 4.71 kills and 5.5 points per set in the month, and ended October by breaking Cecil's single-season kills record with her 303rd kill of the season.

Harris save her best performances when the lights were brightest. Against Southern Maryland on Oct. 7, she tied her career high with a 26-kill performance in a win over the Hawks.  To end the month, Harris dropped 23 kills in Cecil's R20 tournament play-in win over Garrett on October 28.
