HANOVER, Md. - Cecil baseball fell twice to the Westmoreland County Wolfpack on Friday afternoon.
The Seahawks dip to 4-4 (0-2 R20) after the losses.
Game One - Westmoreland 5, Cecil 4
Westmoreland tipped the scale in its favor with one run in the top of the seventh, then held off the Seahawks for a victory in the opener.
Ethan Neff led Cecil with three hits, including one double. Chris Woods doubled as a part of a two-hit day. Matt Jackson walked twice, scored twice, and chipped in two stolen bases.
Mike Preske (0-1) was handed the loss on the mound.
Game Two - Westmoreland 13, Cecil 4
Cecil repeated its offensive production, while the Wolfpack swung for 13 on 11 hits.
Five of the Seahawks nine hits went for extra bases, but Cecil only drove home two runs and left eight stranded.
Ty Whittaker (1-1) suffered the loss from the hill. Kyle Hyre struck out four over two scoreless innings of relief.
