NORTH EAST, Md. - Cecil baseball dominated Prince George's on Wednesday, defeating the Owls in both contests. The Seahawks are now 18-16 overall.
Game One - Cecil 15, Prince George's 1
Cecil scored in all four frames, including nine runs in the final two innings.
A quartet of Seahawks recorded two hits each, leading Cecil to a lopsided victory in the first game. Chris Woods finished with two knocks, three RBI, and three stolen bases. Christian Kleckner and Mason Richter both doubled.
Wyatt McDowell tossed a completed game, striking out a half-dozen batters. The freshman moves to 3-2 on the season.
Game Two - Cecil 9, Prince George's 4
Outside of a four-run sixth, the Seahawks rolled through PG in game two. Trent Wolfe (3-2) led the effort and struck out 10 Owls over 5 1/3 to earn the win. Cody Kunca and Kyle Hyre pitched a scoreless final 1 2/3 innings.
Mason Richter went off at the dish, adding two doubles to a two-run home run in the third. Jevin Seifert doubled and scored twice.
