HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Cecil baseball split a doubleheader at Hagerstown to keep their Region 20 postseason hopes alive. The Seahawks move to 19-21 (9-12 R20) with Tuesday's results.
Game One - Hagerstown 9, Cecil 5
The Hawks used big innings in the first and fourth to see their way past the Seahawks.
Braydon Janzer doubled and drove home a pair of runs. Kaden Kemp doubled and recorded one RBI. Three Cecil batters recorded two singles each. Mason Richter brought in one run on his lone hit.
Wyatt McDowell (3-3) took the loss on mound.
Game Two - Cecil 7, Hagerstown 4
Chris Woods finished 3-for-3 with a home run, two RBI, and two walks to lead the Seahawks in the closing contest.
Five Cecil batters chipped in one hit each, including doubles from Jevin Seifert and Zach VanDyke. Matt Jackson walked twice and produced a RBI.
Trent Wolf (4-2) held the Hawks scoreless for the final four frames, striking out four batters while allowing only two hits.
