CUMBERLAND, Md. - Cecil baseball took game one of a doubleheader against the Allegany Trojans on Friday.
The Seahawks are now 22-26 overall.
Game One - Cecil 8, Allegany 6
Cecil's top four in the lineup combined for nine hits and eight RBI in the opener. Jevin Seifert collected two knocks and five RBI from the cleanup spot. Matt Jackson had two hits, including a double, and scored three times at the top of the order.
Pat Callahan (3-3) grabbed the victory from the hill after tossing the first four innings of the game. Mason Burlingame tossed the final two innings of relief for the save.
Game Two - Allegany 11, Cecil 2
The Trojans scored nine runs in the third inning to take game two off of the Seahawks.
The top of the lineup continued to lead the way on offensive. Jevin Seifert finished with three hits, including a double and a home run. Chris Woods doubled and singled.
Trent Wolf (4-4) was handed the loss on the hill, striking out four over three innings.. Woods threw two scoreless frames of relief and struck out a pair.
