Seahawks Sweep Home Opening Tri-Match

NORTH EAST - Cecil volleyball served up two victories to begin its 2025 season, defeating Region 20 foe Beaver County in straight sets and Lackawanna in four. 

The Seahawks begin the season 2-0 (1-0 R20).

Cecil 3, Beaver County 0

• Cecil outhit Beaver County, .219 to .077
• The Seahawks collected 10 more kills (33 to 23) than the Titans
• Etta Harris led all players with 12 kills and three aces
• Freshman setter Hannah Beck earned all 32 of Cecil's assists in her college debut
• Fellow frosh Hadlee Hamm recorded 25 digs

Cecil 3, Lackawanna 1

• Etta Harris picked up 21 kills, tied for the second most for her career
• Kendra Watters topped both teams with 26 digs while also producing 20 kills
• Five Seahawks recorded at least 10 digs
• Sets one and three needed extra points to be decided
• Hannah Beck grabbed all 56 assists for the Seahawks
